Logline:

After her grandmother Garda’s death Odile Benning inherits a truth that shatters her entire life: the only person she has known and loved as her family is not related to her at all, but is the last real Beguine the world has known, Betje Espen. Following the cryptic instructions of Betje’s last will, Odile goes on a quest of this extraordinary women’s life and discovers both the solemn vow that bound them together and the terrible lie that rests at the very roots of her own history.
